Dariel Cabrera Mederos. In 1999 he obtained the degree of Technician in Agronomy and in 2005 he graduated as Agronomist Engineer at the Central University Marta Abreu de las Villas. In 2010 he received his Master’s degree in Plant Biotechnology and in 2014 he received his PhD in Agricultural Sciences. He has been professor of Phytopathology, Pest Management and Plant Virology in the careers of Agronomy Engineering and Biology (Universidad Central ”Marta Abreu” de Las Villas (UCLV), Cuba. He has supervised more than 20 undergraduate theses and 10 master’s theses. He is currently a member of the Argentine Association of Phytopathologists (AAF, member 349-CN) and of the Evaluation Committee of the journal IDITeC (Institute of Development and Technological Innovation for Territorial Competitiveness) of the University of San Pablo, Tucumán. He is also a Professional authorized by the National Agrifood Health and Quality Service (SENASA) and a member of the network of referents of the Argentine National Pest Surveillance and Monitoring System. He is hired as a professional technical scientific and diagnostic services assistant at INTA-CIAP-IPAVE. He has more than 30 scientific articles published in important journals related to plant virology. He is the author of 5 book chapters published by prestigious publishing houses related to plant protection. He has been a Postdoctoral Fellow of the National Council of Scientific and Technical Research CONICET. He is currently the leader of the research line of diagnosis and management of viral diseases in fruit crops.
