Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Materials Science 2006 – 2010, University College London UCL, His research is focused on the physical-chemistry of light metals and their hydrides, which covers a wide range of topics related to the development of materials that can address the technological barriers to the introduction of energy production and utilization from renewable sources. Particularly interested in developing materials for thermal energy storage via thermochemical reactions, metal hydrides and complex hydrides for stationary and mobile hydrogen storage and hydrogen compression, and novel crystalline and amorphous metallic materials for hydrogen purification. Leading research projects in metal hydrides for thermal energy storage and amorphous thin-film metallic materials for energy storage and gas purification. Currently collaborating with HYPROMAG as a Research and Development Scientist, aiming to develop a full recycling supply chain for rare earth, neodymium iron boron (NdFeB), magnets via hydrogen processing of magnet scrap.
